Green – Maria Gules, 99, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at her home.
Maria was born June 19, 1911 to George and Ekaterina (Buse) Susman in Chislaz, Romania and came to the United States and Akron in 1972. She was a member of the Romanian Baptist Church in Green.
Mrs. Gules was preceded in death by her husband George in 1985 and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Maria and John Vidikan; grandchildren Daniel (Susan) Vidikan and Marius (Michelle) Vidikan; and nephews Alex and George Susman and their families. She was blessed to see her great grandchildren Keira Grace and Porter David Vidikan.
Funeral services will be held Friday 1:00pm at the Anthony and Biscan Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Road (on the roundabout at Steese Rd.). The family will receive friends Thursday 6 to 8pm at the Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Romanian Baptist Church, 1243 Boettler Rd. Uniontown, Ohio 44685.
