Elizabeth Marie Graham (nee McCann)

Elizabeth Marie Graham, 75, went home to be with the Lord, Surrounded by her family on July 8, 2010.

Born in Akron on Christmas Day in 1934, to the late James J. and Sophia McCann, Elizabeth had been a Kent resident for 48 years. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kent. Elizabeth was a loving and caring mother who centered her life around her children. Through the Hattie Larlham Foundation, Elizabeth was a dedicated foster mother, whose love touched the lives of her three wonderful foster children, Tracy, Bobby, and Beth.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by a son Jimmy, a daughter Susie, her sister Mary Ann Armbruster, and her daughter Tracy L.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Joseph Sr. of Brimfield; daughter Marie Corde ( Bob) Gallavan of Munroe Falls and son Joseph (Lisa Spissinger) Jr. of Paducah, KY; brothers Rev. Thomas McCann of Cuyahoga Falls and James McCann Jr. of CA; grandchildren Joe, Jesse (Lauren), and Angela Dolinar, Joseph Graham III(Nicky), and Holly Graham; great-grandchildren Alliyah, Olivia, Clarissa, and Abigail Dolinar and Kathryn Graham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas McCann on Monday, 11:00 am, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. A Committal of ashes will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church 127 Portage Street Kent, OH 44240-2591.
